EXPERTS
HOURS OF TRAINING
6 visionary producers with outstanding projects were selected for ProducerLAND Ascent 2023. They will work closely with international mentors to untap the highest potential of their early-mid development projects, and position them for international markets eager for stories with meaningful impact.
The program began with a weeklong immersive Residency in Goa, India, from 29 Jan – 5 Feb 2023, addressing Positioning, Creative Producing and Impact. This will be followed by a tailored Project Accelerator (delivered online), where Producers will have the opportunity to invite their writer(s) and/or director teams.
The program will conclude with six Producers presenting their Project Pitches to a panel of international experts, financiers and potential co-producers.
MENTORS
The programme's lead mentor and curator is Tanja Meissner (France) who has a depth of experience in positioning and sales, previously as VP International Sales at Celluloid, and Head of International Sales at Memento.
Other globally respected industry experts include Ajay Rai, UK based producer and faculty member of Busan Asian Film School; Farah Fayed, Director of Programs at BeirutDC; international producer Roman Paul from Germany, France based producer Marc Irmer, film programmer Kim Young-woo from South Korea; Todd Brown from XYZ Films, Christian Vesper from Fremantle UK; Kashif Shaikh from US based Pillars Fund; and Fabien Westerhoff from Film Constellation who handled international sales for Joyland.
