Producers Take Center Stage
Waves Film Bazaar × ProducerLAND -NFDC Producers Lab brought together 12 mid-career & experienced producers in a room for 5 days of producer-focused training and networking at one of South Asia’s most important film markets.
This collaboration offered producers practical guidance on structuring cross-border co-productions, and accessing global funding and distribution.
Through curated sessions, mentorship, and industry meetings, producers were introduced to industry peers, experts, leaders from across Asia and beyond - this enabled creation of real connections and opportunities to develop partnerships that move projects from concept to production. The program positions producers as central drivers of globally resonant storytelling rooted in the Global South.

Career Track
Professional growth and mentorship for producers without a project.
Project Track
Guidance, Feedback, and showcase opportunities for producers actively developing a project.
Over four days (21-24 Nov 2025), participants will engage in masterclasses, deep-dive mentoring and focused project groups, with evenings dedicated to networking at the bazaar. Together with ProducerLAND, this year’s co-hosted lab blends experiential learning, international market insights, financing strategies, and co-production opportunities into a truly collaborative program.

Teenaa Kaur Parishcha is a National Award-winning filmmaker and writer whose work explores resilience, identity, and social justice. Her acclaimed documentary 1984, When the Sun Didn’t Rise won the National Film Award for Best Investigative Film and continues to be screened internationally for its emotional depth and journalistic integrity.
