While trained in film-making and having dabbled with directing short films & a nonfiction show, I moved to writing full-time. My writing practise spans screenwriting, fiction and nonfiction. I also produce and co-host an original podcast, Bitches Brew. I’m an alumna of the excellent Dum Pukht Writing Workshop 2019 and my first novel is being represented by A Suitable Agency.

For over a year, she worked in acquisitions at Mumbai based, Alliance Media where she helped bring Palme d’Or winning film “The Square”, films of Jafar Panahi , Pedro Almodovar and other auteur driven world cinema to India for distribution and sub-licensing. In 2020, she completed her Masters in International Film Business from the London Film School and The University of Exeter.

She is the co-founder of Hyderabad Children’s Theatre Festival, and managed the Dharamshala International Film Festival from 2018 until 2022, overseeing various aspects including operations, partnerships, programming, and building the year round programme. She has a Masters in Communication from the University of Hyderabad. At TSC, she is part of the ProducerLAND team.

I have a keen interest in studying my surrounding, and the relationship that a thing (such as culture, or one’s life) shares with its representation - which is the essence of my interest in the entertainment industry. The environment also finds itself at the centre of many of my ruminations- I co-host the podcast ‘Living with the River’ to document the confluence of all of my interests through conversations around the river Brahmaputra.

Darren currently designs at The Storiculture Company, working closely with the various teams to actualise concepts with innovative and creative visual design thinking. Having worked in Media and pursed a Masters in Creative Music Production, he approaches design through a unique lens. Darren aims to use out-of-the-box ideation and tools such as 3D Modelling to create interesting visuals.
